ANOTHER Beauty Wishlist

Let’s be honest…did you really expect me to go a month without a wishlist post? Yup, that’s what I thought. Half the fun in buying new beauty products is looking at them all, eh?

November Wishlist

1 / Dior Lash Plumping Serum and DiorShow minis After seeing EssieButton talk about the lash plumping serum nonstop, what can I say, I just have to try it! Pluuusss – I need a new mascara. What could be more perfect?

2 / Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè In the “beauty blogger world”, it seems like everyone and the cat’s best friend (that’s not the saying at all), talks about this. This hydrating creme is good for all skin types, works as a moisturizer, primer, and makeup remover, and (well…let me not go into how it originates in France).

3 / Dior Addict Lipstick For some reason, I really really want a lipstick…but this one doesn’t look like one! Could the packaging be any prettier (if you haven’t realized, I’m a sucker for packaging), and it’s Dior. The only thing – I can’t decide which color I want…

4 / Korres Guava Shower Gel As I’m forcing myself to get through all my old bath & body products, I need some incentive, eh? I smelled this while I was in Sephora last week and it smells delicious. Either this or the rose one – again, I just can’t decide.

5 / Dior Rosy Glow Awakening Blush This is three Dior products in one wishlist, people! Obviously this isn’t very realistic, but a girl can dream… This blush adjusts to your own skin tone and (again) look at that packaging.

6 / REN Tonic Moisture Mist I have really been into skincare stuff recently, and coinciding with my recent Hyaluronic Acid post, this seems like the perfect solution for my thirst-quenching skin.

My Perfect Red Lip | Korres Lip Butter “Wild Rose”

Some of you may know that I am a HUGE  lip balm/tint fan – that is not a lipstick person (except for the fact that I have been really wanting one lately. I know…I’m just a bit too hard to follow). I really wanted a red tinted lip product though, which is why I wanted to try this one.

First of all, I love this product. I have been in love with the Pomegranate one forever. What I saw this one in Sephora over the weekend, I threw it on my lips immediately ..and then somehow ended up leaving the store with it.
Not to mention I’ve been on a constant search for a “my lips but better” lip shade, and this pretty much fits the bill. I am loving this product, and I think it will be perfect for winter time. Think “I just came out of the snow and my lips are a little rosy” kind of color. Does that sound good or what?

what is your favorite “red lip”? i may have to try the plum one as well?

I Did Too Much Shopping | Beauty Haul

Let’s be honest, the title pretty much explains it all. The good news, though, is that I’m pretty much all shopped out and have much more control over my…obsession now. Funny, my mom recently told me that I need to look at a thesaurus – especially for the word “obsessed”. Apparently it’s a bit too overused on the blog. Let’s get into it, shall we…

Caudalie Grape Water
Since j’adore the Caudale beauty elixr (I really just can’t stop) AND  I’m almost out of it, I decided to try this one since I’ve heard it’s quite similar. I haven’t decided quite how I feel about it yet, but I think I may do a comparison post soon. Oh, for price reference, this one’s $8 and is bigger than the $18 travel size. UMMM YEAH! HUGE difference!
Korres Wild Rose Lip Butter
I already love these and I wanted a more fall-ly lip color, so I figured why not. Well, I guess why not isn’t exactly the best reason….but, I really like it so far. Post coming soon!
MAC Soba Eyeshadow
For some reason, I have been really wanting some MAC eyeshadows lately. I bought this one on ebay for $10 and I have already been using it non-stop. Tell me if you would like to see a blog post on it.
Wet’n Wild Comfort Zone palette
I had to buy this for one of my upcoming shows, but I have actually heard a lot about both Wet’n Wild eyeshadows and this palette. I’ve only worn one of the once (the third one down on the left), but so far I really like it!
Tarte Blush in Natural Beauty
I already did a blog post on this, so I won’t say to much. You can check that out here, but to be completely honest…I just can’t stop wearing this!!!!
Jemma Kidd Dewy Glow All Over Radiance Creme in Rose Gold
Again, I already did a blog post on this (here), but it is just GORGEOUSSSSSSS! I think this may be my favorite all time highlighter!
Real Techniques Stippling Brush
I really cannot get enough of this brush! I use it everyday for foundation and concealer…but I’ve heard the buffing brush is even better! Maybe I’ll have to try that one….well, once I’m not broke. You can check out the blog post I did on this here.

what have been some of your purchases recently? is there anything I should add to my – ummmm – wishlist?

September Step In

It’s the beginning of September…right? Well, even if you don’t think so, just pretend so until you finish reading this post. Okay, now onto dream world. Here are some of the hues, shades, pigments, scents, looks, etc. that I am most looking forward to for September (or for the rest of it. But wait, we are in dream mode remember?). Recently I’ve been having this huge (I mean like…massive) spending urge, which is so unlike me, but oh well. I’ve already bought a few things so  there will definitely a recent beauty buys post as soon as the stuff comes in. xo

Day to Night / Lace Skirt

I recently purchased a cream colored lace skirt while I was in NY. I loved how the simple shape paired with the elegant lace. Now, I consider a skirt like this a basic, worn in every season from winter to summer. Here is how I would style it for summer/fall.
Day to Night : Lace Skirt
Day / since the lace is already so intricate, pair it with a solid colored top. I like this neutral, comfortable grey tee. The leather bag adds a near masculine touch to the very feminine skirt which I love. Of course, I love the look of a classic pair of sneakers which just scream “day casual” to me while still looking chic. I love the pop the bright pink geometric necklace adds to the outfit. Last but not least, I love the fishtail braid.
Night / since the lace skirt is so elegant, I decided to go a step further with a purple, silk, tie-neck top. A classic pair of shoes, an elegant bangle,  and a sparkly clutch add to the look. The addition of a bright pinkish-plum lip finishes off the look with a touch of sheer color.

July Lip Duo

Since I am so loyal to all lip products and pretty much have a new favorite product or duo every month, I will be starting a series in addition to my monthly favorite posts dedicated just to lip products. Remember, I love your feedback, so if your not so fond of this idea, just tell me. If you are…well, tell me that too. I hope you enjoy, and once again, happy August!
July Lip Duo
1 / EOS lip balm in Lemon Drop since the word (or phrase) SPF seems to constantly buzz around all summer long. Having a bit of this in your lip product is definitely a plus. Why I love this product, it’s wonderful scent and added SPF on top of its healing power and fun shape make this balm the perfect summer base to add SPF on top of any of your favorite lip products.
2 / Korres lip butter in Pomegranate an old favorite these lip butters are the crowning glory of texture and color. The pomegranate color is perfect for summer, a splashy coral. When it comes to the texture. I cannot say enough good things about this. It’s buttery smooth texture is more than I could ever ask for. The product comes in a huge range of colors, so if you are not so crazy about the coral, promise me that you will try another color.
